Clunes Booktown celebrates Australia’s literary forces behind young adult fiction in Knowing Me & Meeting You, a special online conversation with authors Michael Earp, Nina Kenwood and Nova Weetman.

In this Clunes Booktown on Sunday event, three leading young adult fiction writers discuss coming out, coming-of-age, connections and stories of family, friends, lovers and strangers.

Award-winning author Nina Kenwood, who wrote the tender, funny and joyful debut novel It Sounded Better In My Head about longing, confusion, feeling left out and finding out what really matters will be joined by Nova Weetman. Known for her series, Choose Your Own Never After Weetman will discuss her latest novel, Sick Bay about a girl struggling with home life changes.

Chair of the popular #LoveOzYA committee, Michael Earp will delve into the growing group of passionate young adult fiction writers bringing his knowledge as the editor of Kindred: 12 Queer #LoveOzYA Stories – a collection of stories from Australia’s finest writers from the LGBTQ+ community, exploring family, friends, lovers and strangers and the connections that form us.
