Yes.

As per the Victorian Government COVID-19 Public Events Framework, please ensure you follow these terms and conditions:

– Each attendee is asked to do a symptom self-assessment prior to leaving home and not attend if they are unwell or have been instructed to isolate or quarantine.

– Attendees must maintain at least 1.5m physical distance between those from other groups at all times.

– To minimise movement, attendees must stay within their allocated spaces or seats where practical.

– Observe cough etiquette and personal hygiene measures

Clunes Booktown presents Turn The Page – a new month-long celebration of the book filled with author talks, presentations and thought-provoking conversations in the beloved historic Victorian township of Clunes this May.

1 – 2 MAY | AUTHOR TALKS
Clunes Booktown presents a series of prolific author talks in this special reader-focused event filled with conversations running over two days. 

29 – 30 MAY | FOR THE LOVE OF BOOK CLUBS

This is the first national weekend for book clubs with opportunities for members to meet other clubs, discover tactics and programs around building and boosting their own book-loving community.

9 – 10 OCTOBER | SKILLING UP: FOR EMERGING AND EXPERIENCED AUTHORS
Postponed from 15 – 16 May. The book is the central character across this weekend with workshops and expert panels on what goes on between the pages from creation, to pre-production and on to publication. Experience a series of workshops on writing crime, memoir, romance and fantasy, to self-publishing alongside discussions on audiobooks, podcasting, book design, marketing and industry trends

Yes. Pre-booking is essential. All events are ticketed for COVID safety. Tickets to talks and workshops can be purchased: Try Booking There is no ticket sales at the door.

Not at the door. All events are pre-booked, ticketed talks for your safety, and will take place in COVID-safe environments and must be purchased prior to the event for contact tracing and venue capacity compliance. Tickets are purchased through Try Booking.

This year we are running ticketed author talks and developmental writing workshops. Kids straw bale maze and entertainment will return next year

Author signings for most speakers will also occur after each talk upstairs in The Warehouse, 36 Fraser Street, Clunes.  

This year for the safety of our traders and you, our audience, our booksellers will not join us on the streets of Clunes. Although we won’t be having a street festival we are thrilled to provide a home for them on our website for 2021. From the 1st of May, you will be able to visit our booksellers virtually and connect with them through our website at clunesbooktown.com.au.

All our amazing local restaurants and cafes will be open. Click here for a list of local traders.

There will be no extra services run by VLine over the month of May. Please check with VLine directly for info on timetables.

There will be ample parking around the town.

Yes. Parking will be identified in the town, close the event venues. 

ATM services are limited in the town.
